INPA partner in AQUARIUS

Beginning on the 1st March, INPA is partner in the EU project AQUARIUS. The AQUARIUS consortium is composed by 41 partners (+ 4 affiliated entities) from 18 countries, coordinated by the Marine Institute (Ireland). INPA and its affiliated entity INKODE, is joining the 4-year-long project funded by the HORIZON INFRA program, developing a new version of the INTERACCESS platform for managing AUQARIUS’ Transnational Access program. The AQUARIUS Kick Off Meeting will take place virtually on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of April 2024.

The overarching aim of AQUARIUS is to provide a highly comprehensive suite of integrated research infrastructures appropriate to addressing significant challenges for the long-term sustainability of our unique oceans, seas and freshwater ecosystems. AQUARIUS will combine an impressive range of 57 research infrastructure services through the integrated availability of, research vessels, mobile marine observation platforms (autonomous underwater and surface vehicles, gliders, remotely operated vehicles, and ferry boxes), aircraft, drones, satellite, sensors, fixed freshwater and marine observatories and test sites, databuoys, experimental facilities, and sophisticated data infrastructures.
